Poland, wartaikn.com , – As part of the grand plan to develop Indonesia’s new capital city, Nusantara National Capital Authority (NNCA) is seriously considering the use of smart lighting technology to create a city that is both intelligent and eco-friendly.

Like the release from Communication Team Secretariat NNCA, Achmad Jaka Santos Adiwijaya, the Secretary of NNCA said, smart lighting can offer numerous benefits such as significant cost savings, reduced carbon emissions, and light pollution.

In conjunction to the investment exhibition mission to Nusantara at the Hannover Messe 2023, NNCA sent a delegation to visit one of the leading smart lighting companies in Europe, LUG, in Zielona Gora, Poland.

The NNCA delegation led by Secretary Jaka Santos, Chief Urban Mobility Resdiansyah, and Head of Bureau of Finance, State Property, and Assets Under Control Muji Budda’wah, had the opportunity to learn about LUG’s 30 years of experience in providing professional lighting solutions and their potential to invest in Nusantara.

Michael Lupkowski, Director of Marketing Product Development at LUG, expressed his excitement about hosting the NNCA delegation and their shared vision of developing sustainable and human-centric lighting concept in Nusantara.

LUG specializes in manufacturing infrastructure and industrial luminaires, as well as decorative lighting for public utilities, commercial areas, and architectural objects.

Jaka Santos added the use of smart lighting technology can revolutionize the way we light our cities, making them more energy-efficient, safer, and eco-friendlier. NNCA’s exploration of this technology is setting a positive example for other cities in Indonesia and the world to follow in their efforts toward sustainability.

“Smart lighting technology is just one of the many innovative approaches that NNCA is exploring to create a sustainable, intelligent, and liveable city. Their efforts align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Goal 13 – Climate Action,” said Jaka Santos.

By reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions through smart lighting, Nusantara will also be contributing to Indonesia’s efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change. The smart lighting technology will also create a safer and more secure environment for residents and visitors alike.

As Secretary of NNCA, Jaka Santos stated, “The development of Nusantara as a smart and sustainable city is not just about creating a modern city but also about creating a city that is liveable and resilient for the people. (Gal)
